WOO HOO quickly deflated
Just fifteen minutes ago I was excited. Ecstatic. Over the moon. I finally finished the first draft of the short synopsis for IH. 5-1/2 pages. Not half-bad, considering it's a 110K work novel.
But then I read it over. Got most of the highlights in there, but it feels so dry. So now I have to figure out what I can cut in order to infuse a little more emotion.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

This is where giving yourself permission to write crap comes in. 5 1/2 pages is awesome! And when you go back to decrapify, you'll love how it works! And if you write like I do, you'll end up with more pages, too! *g*

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. More pages. I can easily write a 20 page synopsis for this one! Is there an agent or publisher out there willing to look at a 20 page synopsis?
But yeah, I gave myself permission for crap. Took a while, but I learned.
